November's Wednesday Private Pottery Course
Discover the art of clay in this six-week pottery course designed for beginners and continuing students. Each week you’ll learn new skills and techniques while creating functional and decorative pieces that reflect your style.
Handbuilding Track
In the handbuilding course, students will explore coil, pinch, and slab construction methods to shape bowls, mugs, vases, and sculptural forms. Emphasis is placed on texture, surface design, and glazing techniques that bring your pieces to life.
Wheel Throwing Track
In the wheel throwing course, students will learn the fundamentals of centering clay, pulling walls, and shaping cylinders, bowls, and mugs on the pottery wheel. As skills develop, you’ll practice trimming, handles, and glazing to finish your unique creations.
Course Details
Length: 6 weeks (weekly 2 hour sessions)
Skill Level: No experience necessary; all levels welcome
What’s Included: Clay, glazes, tools, and kiln firings
What You’ll Take Home: Finished pottery pieces to enjoy and use
By the end of the session, you’ll not only have created your own collection of pottery, but also gained a foundation in ceramic techniques you can continue to build on.
