Pottery Experience
Experience the magic of pottery in this private, hands-on session just for you. Whether it’s your first time working with clay or you’ve gotten muddy before, This single two-hour lesson offers focused instruction and the chance create your own piece.
Wheel Throwing
Learn the fundamentals of centering clay, pulling walls, and shaping bowls on the pottery wheel. You will have the opportunity to throw 3-6 pieces with your best 3 pieces being trimmed, glazed and fire for you.
Slab Mug
Learn the process of creating a functional mug with a flat sheet of clay, Choose different design elements, experiment with underglaze, make a handle that fits your hand. You will have the opportunity to create 2 mugs with handles and add underglaze designs.*
Gnome Home Luminary
Learn the process of creating a luminary out of a flat sheet of clay. Choose different design elements and experiment with underglaze to make a piece that will glow when you turn the lights out.
Slab Vase.
Learn the process of creating a functional vase out of a flat sheet of clay. Choose different design elements and experiment with underglaze to make a piece that will be beautiful even when the flowers are long dead.
Coil Bowl
There are two things that every potter makes, a tea pot and a coil bowl. Well almost all potters. A coil bowl is a corner stone for potter and there is no way to mess it up. It will always look artistic and beautiful.

Six Week Pottery Course
Discover the art of clay in this six-week pottery course designed for beginners and continuing students. Each week you’ll learn new skills and techniques while creating functional and decorative pieces that reflect your style.
Handbuilding
In the handbuilding course, students will explore coil, pinch, and slab construction methods to shape bowls, mugs, vases, and sculptural forms. Emphasis is placed on texture, surface design, and glazing techniques that bring your pieces to life.
Wheel Throwing
In the wheel throwing course, students will learn the fundamentals of centering clay, pulling walls, and shaping cylinders, bowls, and mugs on the pottery wheel. As skills develop, you’ll practice trimming, handles, and glazing to finish your unique creations.
Mixed Pottery Track
In the mixed pottery course, students will spend 2 classes working on the basics of handbuilding, 2 classes on wheel throwing, 1 class on trimming and preparing pieces for bisque firing, and 1 class on glazing. Students will learn the basics of clay both practices of clay learning to pinch, coil, center, and pull.
